Day 89 - Saturday - 15/8/2026
Today we drove to the mall where we did some shopping and then went to the Cairns waterfront where we saw a super rare bird called the Common Redshank, despite its name it is very rare in Australia but not in other countries, annoyingly it was too far away to get any pictures.
| Far Eastern Curlew |
There was also one thing different about today compared to other days on the trip and that is it actually rained, for the whole day it was lightly raining which I hadn't experienced since about the second day of the trip.
