Day 50 - Ubirr

 Day 49 - Tuesday - 7/7/2026

Today we drove from Coroboree to Jabiru where we went for a swim and made a super strong whirlpool with some other kids, my brother Seb also caught a praying Mantis that we made an enclosure for. We also had a frog in it, but we realised the mantis might eat it

Day 50 - Wednesday - 8/7/2026

This morning my family woke up at 6:30 to do to Mamukala Wetland because we were told it was good for birdwatching. Well, they were completely wrong, all we saw was an Egret and Mosquitos.

Where'd the birds go?!?

In my opinion the drive home was better because 2 Emus, a few Wallabies and a Dingo crosse the road. when we got back, we also witnessed our praying mantis eating a juicy grasshopper.

Then we drove to Cahill's Crossing where we watched some cars cross the croc infested water.

After that we went to Ubirr to looked at some amazing indigenous rock art. We walked to the main gallery which was in the shade of a huge rock overhang with lots of paintings on it like one of everything the Aboriginals in the area ate like fish, turtles and kangaroos, and there was also one of a Thylacine/Tasmanian Tiger.

Finally, we walked to a lookout where we could see all of the escarpment, you could see the difference between the escarpment and the other land because the escarpment was all rocky and mountainous meanwhile everywhere else was flat.
